I. Tournament Formats
1. Tournament Overview
Ragnarok: The New World Legend Cup is the most prestigious official RO tournament ever created by Gravity. Legend says that Odin summons warriors worthy of a legendary name to Valhalla, while the Valkyries test and select those capable of transcending fate. The tournament is divided into two major regions: the Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau Region and the Southeast Asia Region. Top Guilds and elite competitive teams from different regions will gather on the Legend Cup stage and advance through online qualifiers to the offline Grand Final, competing for the supreme titles of World's Strongest Guild and World's Strongest Squad:
Legend Cup · Odin's Valhalla · Guild Battle
Built around the in-game Guild League, Guilds from each region will rally their members, manage resources, and fight together on a competitive stage spanning servers and regions. Through close coordination and battlefield command, they will challenge for the supreme title of World's Strongest Guild.
Legend Cup · Valkyrie's Trial · Squad Arena
Built around fair competition, this format does not test official-server progression. All participants form 8-player teams under standardized progression conditions, competing through lineup composition, tactics, and teamwork for the title of World's Strongest Squad and a share of an uncapped US$1.01 million cash prize pool.
Guilds and teams from both regions will advance through online qualifiers to the offline Grand Final. Who will enter Odin's Valhalla, and who will pass the Valkyries' trial to forge their own legend? Everything will be revealed at Legend Cup.All schedule times above are UTC+8. Actual opening times, match sessions, and schedule adjustments are subject to in-game event settings and the latest official announcements.

3、 Advancement Details for Odin's Valhalla · Guild Battle and Valkyrie's Trial · Squad Arena
Odin's Valhalla · Guild Battle:
Gameplay OverviewOdin's Valhalla · Guild Battle uses the in-game Guild League as its core gameplay. All Guilds on the server that meet Guild League requirements may participate in the server qualifiers.
Vanguards and Participation
- Each Guild may appoint up to 60 Vanguards. Only Vanguards may enter the Main Battlefield; the Secondary Battlefield is open to all Guild members.
- When a Guild registers for the first time, the system generates a default Vanguard roster based on members' Equipment Scores.
- Guild management may appoint or remove Vanguards.
- Players automatically lose Vanguard status after changing Guilds.
- The Main Battlefield supports up to 60 players, and the Secondary Battlefield supports up to 90 players.
Match Format
- Each match includes a 3-minute preparation phase and a 22-minute battle phase. The match ends immediately if either side meets the victory condition early.
- The Main Battlefield uses a three-lane tower-pushing layout. Each side has 3 Outer Towers, 3 Middle Towers, 3 High Ground Towers, and 1 Crystal.
- Destroy the enemy Crystal to win. If neither Crystal is destroyed when time expires, the winner is determined in order by Crystal durability, surviving towers, total remaining building durability, and kills. There are no draws.
- At the start, only Outer Towers can be attacked. Destroying an Outer Tower removes protection from its corresponding Middle Tower; destroying any Middle Tower removes protection from all High Ground Towers; destroying any High Ground Tower removes protection from the Crystal.
- Destroying an enemy tower reduces the enemy Crystal's maximum durability by 2.5%. Destroying Outer Towers also progressively reduces the damage reduction of the Crystal and High Ground Towers.
- Doppelganger Bosses spawn on the Main Battlefield at the 5th and 15th minutes of the battle phase. The side that defeats them receives powerful Buffs and a large amount of Supplies.
Secondary Battlefield Support
- Defeat monsters and Bosses on the Secondary Battlefield to obtain Supplies. Defeating Bosses also grants strategic skills for the commander and provides the Main Battlefield with movement speed, tower defense, and other buffs.
- Players can gather Spirit Ore and turn it in to the Quartermaster to repair their Crystal or surviving towers. Towers are repaired in the order of High Ground Tower, Middle Tower, then Outer Tower. Players may carry only 1 Ore at a time and will drop it upon death.
Supplies
- The Guild commander can consume Supplies to use Guild Skills, providing tactical effects such as siege damage, damage reduction, immunity to control, and summons.
- The Guild commander can consume Supplies to raise Guild Morale, granting stat bonuses to allies on both battlefields. Morale effects are not removed upon death.

- During the Server League Stage, eligible Guilds are registered automatically by the system and assigned an initial tier based on total Guild Equipment Score.
- During the Cross-Server League Stage, Guilds accumulate Peak Points based on their Cross-Server League performance.
- After the Cross-Server League ends, the organizers determine the Top 64 qualifiers based on Guild rankings in each region.
- The Top 64 Stage uses a 6-round Swiss format, with each round played as BO1.
- After the Swiss Stage, Guilds are ranked by wins, strength of schedule, total Guild Equipment Score, and other criteria. The top 16 advance to the playoffs.
- The Round of 16 and Quarterfinals are Regional playoffs using BO3 elimination. The top 4 from each region advance to the Global Stage. The Global Stage uses double elimination and includes [Opening Matchups], [Upper Bracket Round 1], [Lower Bracket Round 1], [Upper Bracket Final], [Lower Bracket Round 2], [Lower Bracket Final], and [Grand Final]. If the Lower Bracket team wins the Grand Final, a bracket reset or additional match may be held according to official tournament settings.

Offline Grand Final:
Format: Guild representatives compete offline while other members compete online.
Stat Mode:
The entire Grand Final will use a fair Guild League format across both regional versions, allowing everyone to compete through equal strategy and tactics for the championship!
Detailed gameplay and rules will be announced later. Stay tuned!
Participant Roster and Substitute RulesAfter the Guild League Top 64 roster is confirmed, applications for substitute players will open. Eligible players may apply to serve as substitutes for Top 64 Guilds. Substitute eligibility, lock times, reward eligibility, and participation restrictions are subject to in-game rules and final official announcements.
Valkyrie's Trial · Squad Arena:
Gameplay and RegistrationValkyrie's Trial · Squad Arena is Legend Cup's fair-competition division, where tactics, Job composition, and real-time execution determine victory. Matches use a dedicated Tournament Server and standardized progression templates. Official-server progression has no effect on competition; any player whose official-server character has reached Base Lv. 70 may register. ※Fair-competition gameplay will be added in-game on September 24. Stay tuned!
- Each team may have up to 8 members: 5 starters and 3 substitutes.
- Each account may register only 1 official-server character and create 1 Tournament Server account.
- During the registration and warm-up period, each Tournament Server account may create up to 3 characters for trial. Before Ranked Matches begin, 1 character must be locked as the competition character.
- Once Ranked Matches begin, team members, competition characters, and Jobs cannot be changed. Members may not be added or replaced.
- Each team may have no more than 2 members of the same Job, counting starters and substitutes together. The lineup selected for any match may not exceed this limit.
Each match uses a BO5, best-of-five format. The first team to win 3 games wins the match, and any remaining games will not be played. Before each game, both sides alternate bans and then select their lineup.
- Selection timing: Each side has 15 seconds to ban 1 opposing player, followed by 30 seconds to lock the active lineup.
- Each game has a maximum time limit. If neither side eliminates the other when time expires, the winner is determined in order by total damage dealt → surviving players → remaining HP → equipment template score.
- If a team has fewer than 5 players online, the current game is treated as a forfeit and loss.

In-game tournament rewards include limited outfits, limited mounts, and more. Please refer to subsequent
announcements for details.
5. Reward Distribution
- In-game virtual items, titles, appearances, items, Starstones, and other rewards will be distributed after the results of each tournament stage are confirmed, based on the final officially locked roster and actual reward eligibility. They are expected to be delivered to eligible bound game characters within 10 business days after the corresponding stage ends.
- Rewards related to Odin's Valhalla · Guild Battle are settled on a Guild basis. Guild placement rewards, Tournament Pass bonus Starstones, and Destiny Imprint bonus Starstones will be calculated according to the officially locked Guild roster, final placement, and event rules. Actual recipients, distribution ratios, and member eligibility are subject to official announcements, in-game rules, and final review results.
- Cash prizes, Destiny Imprint bonus prizes, and other cash rewards for Valkyrie's Trial · Squad Arena will be calculated based on the officially confirmed locked team roster and final tournament placement. In principle, the team's total prize will be divided equally among eligible members of the locked roster and paid directly to each recipient's personal account. The organizers will not permit collection by anyone outside the roster or consolidated collection by a designated representative.
- All cash prizes in this tournament are denominated in US dollars, and the announced amounts are before tax. Upon distribution, the organizers or designated tournament partners will deduct applicable withholding tax, VAT, bank charges, remittance fees, and other fees required by law or the payment process before paying the remaining amount to the winner. Winners remain responsible for declaring and paying applicable taxes under the laws of their place of residence.
- Cash-prize winners must provide true, complete, and valid claim information within the period specified in the official notice, including but not limited to legal name, contact number, email address, identity document, nationality/region, bank account details, SWIFT/IBAN Code where applicable, tax-residency declaration, and any other documents required by law or for payment. Failure to provide the information on time, or provision of incomplete, false, or unverifiable information, will be deemed a voluntary forfeiture of prize eligibility.
- Each set of recipient information may correspond to only one character or one tournament identity for reward collection. If the same player qualifies for multiple rewards through multiple characters, accounts, or identities, the organizers may retain only the eligibility associated with the highest placement or highest-value reward, and decline to distribute the others.
- Prize eligibility may not be transferred, sold, exchanged, or claimed under another person's identity. If prize trading, identity impersonation, falsified information, rule-breaking participation, or any other conduct affecting fair reward distribution is discovered, the organizers may revoke the reward eligibility of the relevant player, team, or Guild and recover rewards already distributed.
- If certain prizes include obligations relating to endorsements, interviews, filming, promotional cooperation, or other commercial collaborations, acceptance of the prize constitutes the winner's agreement to complete the relevant official procedures and sign any necessary written documents as required. If the winner refuses to perform such obligations without valid reason, the organizers reserve the right to adjust, suspend, or recover the corresponding prize money.
- Cash prizes may be paid directly by the organizers or their designated tournament partners. Participants consent to the organizers providing necessary personal data to tournament partners, payment institutions, banks, tax-service providers, or legal-service providers where required for prize payment, eligibility review, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance. Such data will be used only for these purposes and will be deleted or retained in accordance with applicable laws after prize payment, tax reporting, and statutory retention obligations are completed.
※The final reward distribution method is subject to the official pre-tournament announcement and tournament rules issued in November 2026.
6. Match Results, Irregularities, and Appeals
All match results are subject to in-game system determinations and officially confirmed data. If in-game data conflicts with manual records, the officially confirmed in-game data shall prevail.
If an official server issue, version bug, rollback, extreme latency, or other unforeseen incident affects the determination of a match result, the organizers may suspend the match, void the result, or arrange a rematch.
Any objection to a result must be appealed within 24 hours after the match ends. Appeal materials must include the match, time, opposing sides, issue description, screenshots, video recordings, or other evidence.
During an official investigation, participants may not publicly characterize or draw conclusions about the matter under investigation. After the investigation result is announced, participants may not publicly challenge the official ruling.
Players are responsible for ensuring the reliability of their own devices and network connection. In principle, no rematch will be granted for absence, disconnection, or operational issues caused by a player's device, network outage, power outage, or personal error.
7. Forfeits and Penalties
|
Scenario |
Forfeit Criteria |
Result |
|
Guild Battle BO1 |
Fewer than 20 players take the field, or the Guild score does not change throughout the match. |
The opponent wins 1:0. |
|
Guild Battle BO3 |
The forfeit criteria are met in 2 matches, regardless of the match results. |
The opponent wins 2:0. No other data from forfeited matches will be recorded. |
|
Fair Team Competition |
Fewer than 5 players are online after the game begins, or the active lineup is not confirmed on time. |
The current game is lost. Whether the series constitutes an overall forfeit is subject to an official ruling. |
|
Offline Grand Final |
The minimum participation requirement is not met at check-in or match time, and no officially approved substitute arrangement is available. |
A loss or disqualification may be imposed, or the matter may be handled under official on-site rules. |
A forfeiting Guild or team will be deemed to have withdrawn from the current and all subsequent stages of this tournament. The organizers may revoke its placement, medals, titles, tournament honors, and rewards.
Non-violating members who actually took the field and completed the match according to the rules may retain their individual basic participation rewards. Advancement, placement, and honor rewards are not covered by this exception.
For malicious forfeiture, passive play, idling, insufficient participants, or repeated forfeits within a year, the organizers may suspend the relevant Guild, team, or individual from competition for the current year or across multiple years.
A team unable to participate due to force majeure, such as a typhoon, earthquake, flood, government action, or major social disruption, must submit evidence in an appeal. The organizers may waive or reduce the penalty.
8. Participation Standards
Sportsmanship
All Guilds, teams, and participating members must demonstrate good sportsmanship, give their best effort, and uphold the principles of fair and impartial play throughout the tournament.
Match Conduct Restrictions
Unjustified forfeiture: Participants are obligated to follow tournament arrangements and may not forfeit without cause, play passively, or otherwise disrupt the proper progress of the tournament.
Bug exploitation: Participants may not intentionally use in-game bugs, abnormal mechanics, or any other game function officially determined not to be operating according to normal rules to gain a competitive advantage.
Active bug reporting: Until the organizers confirm that an issue is not a bug, participants who encounter an in-game irregularity must promptly contact the Tournament Committee and report it, and may not exploit it without authorization.
Cheating: Participants, teams, and related organizations may not modify the Ragnarok: The New World game client or use any cheating device, third-party program, script tool, illegal plug-in, or similar method of cheating.
Improper remarks: Participants may not make or disseminate attacking, insulting, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, threatening, vulgar, or otherwise improper remarks online, offline, on social media, in livestreams, at tournament venues, or through any public channel.
Handling of Violations
By registering, forming a team, or participating, each participant agrees that once a Guild or team roster is locked, if any member undermines game fairness, cheats, commits a serious violation, or is disqualified, the organizers may invalidate the results of the entire Guild or team and revoke the corresponding placement, rewards, and tournament eligibility. The next-ranked participant may be promoted accordingly. Non-violating members who claim consequential loss must seek compensation directly from the violating member; the organizers will not intervene in internal disputes.
For violations during Ranked Matches, the organizers may set the violating character's ranked score to 0 and revoke the character's tournament and reward eligibility. If the Ranked Match roster has been locked but the next stage has not begun, the organizers may revoke the relevant team's tournament and reward eligibility and promote the next-ranked team where appropriate. If the next stage has already begun, the advancement roster will generally not be changed; only the violating side's eligibility and rewards will be revoked.
For violations during a points stage, Swiss Stage, or group stage, the organizers may revoke the tournament and reward eligibility of the violating player and the associated Guild or team. Unplayed matches may be treated as byes or awarded to the opponent. For completed matches, the organizers may revise the result to an opponent victory and clear or correct relevant data as circumstances require.
For violations during playoffs, double elimination, or the Grand Final, the organizers may revoke the tournament and reward eligibility of the violating player and the associated Guild or team. After each elimination round is completed, confirmed matches and advancement rosters will generally not be replayed or changed; only the violating side's eligibility, placement, and rewards will be addressed.
Player Conduct Restrictions
Participants may not violate any applicable law or regulation, public-security requirement, User Service Agreement, or game-management rule. The Tournament Committee may prohibit or disqualify players who are currently under official penalty, retain unresolved improper gains, have outstanding repayments, or are in similar circumstances.
Participants may not harass, sexually harass, threaten, stalk, maliciously exclude, or otherwise undermine the dignity or sense of safety of any person.
Participants may not insult, discriminate against, defame, or otherwise offend the dignity of any individual or group on the basis of race, color, ethnic or social origin, sex, language, religion, political position, economic status, ancestry, sexual orientation, or any other identity factor.
Participants may not create, publish, authorize, or disseminate any negative statements that damage the reputation of the tournament, the game, the organizers, partners, or other participating teams.
Participants may not engage in fighting, verbal abuse, disorderly group conduct, disruption of public order, or any behavior that interferes with tournament operations in public places, at offline venues, or during online events.
Participants are obligated to contact the organizers promptly if important participation information changes. Participants bear all tournament-related consequences arising from failure to communicate in a timely manner.
Restrictions on Participation by Minors
Minors are strictly prohibited from participating in this tournament. If a participant is found to be below the legal age of majority in the jurisdiction shown on their identity document at registration or during actual participation, the organizers may immediately revoke their eligibility and any prizes won, and recover virtual items, prize money, or other rewards already distributed. The player and their legal guardian must return all benefits obtained through participation and bear corresponding legal liability for any loss caused to the organizers.
Cash-prize winners must submit identity, tax, and payment information as required by the organizers. Anyone who fails verification may not receive a cash prize.
Rights Authorization and Use
By registering for or participating in this tournament, players acknowledge and authorize the organizers, their affiliates, and partners to use, within the scope necessary for the tournament, match footage, character images, gameplay, voice communications, text chats, match data, game IDs, team names, personal likenesses, photographs, video, audio, and related derivative tournament content.
Authorized uses include tournament livestreaming, broadcasting, recording, editing, adaptation, translation, public transmission, distribution, advertising and promotion, merchandise production, tournament archiving, and statistical data analysis. Within reasonable limits, the organizers may retouch, edit, mix, alter voices, composite, or stylize authorized content and may omit names or adjust the presentation format as required for distribution.
The authorization above does not automatically expire if a player withdraws, is disqualified, or the tournament ends, and no separate royalty will be paid. The organizers undertake not to use authorized content for material that damages a player's reputation, depicts pornography or violence, promotes discrimination, political or religious messaging, or advertises products prohibited by law.
The organizers own the relevant rights to official tournament livestreams, broadcasts, recordings, and officially produced content. Without prior written consent, participants may not privately rebroadcast, record, edit, distribute, or commercially use tournament content.
9. Interpretation of Rules
Rule Changes and Improvements
To protect fair competition and tournament integrity, the Tournament Committee may revise, adjust, supplement, or interpret these rules at any time according to actual circumstances. Matters not stated in detail or omitted from these rules will be separately interpreted or governed by additional rules or management standards issued by the organizers.
The organizers may publish and bring into effect any rule revision, supplement, interpretation, or new rule through in-game mail, official website announcements, community announcements, or other appropriate channels. If statements by official personnel conflict with formally announced Tournament Committee rules, the formally announced rules shall prevail.
Force Majeure
If force majeure or an unforeseen incident occurs during the tournament, including but not limited to natural disasters such as typhoons, earthquakes, or floods, government action, major social disruption, server issues, version bugs, major network failures, or other factors beyond participants' control, making the result impossible to determine, preventing the tournament from continuing, or making the original schedule impossible to follow, the Tournament Committee may suspend matches, adjust the schedule, arrange rematches, void results, or directly determine the final outcome.
Final Decision
The Ragnarok: The New World Tournament Committee has the right to interpret all provisions of these tournament rules and the final authority to decide how violations, improper conduct, and unforeseen incidents are handled.
Declaration
By completing registration, forming a team, locking a roster, or participating in the tournament, participants are deemed to have fully read, understood, and agreed to all provisions of these rules, including eligibility, tournament rules, joint liability of the Guild or team, prize payment, rights authorization, use of personal data, handling of violations, and disclaimers. Participants may not subsequently refuse their application on the grounds of ignorance, misunderstanding, or objection.
