Card priority and card fusion for builds
as of 2026-09-25 (SEA)
Every equipment slot, accessories included, holds cards. Fill every slot with something useful first, fix the status problems your content throws at you, then move to build multipliers and MVP cards. Improve cards with Reforge, then Fusion, then Reshape, in that order.
Priority order
- Stage 1: fill empty or mismatched slots with cheap relevant stats. Stage 2: fix what keeps killing you, for example Giearth (confusion), Marduk (silence) or Nightmare (sleep) immunity. Stage 3: build multipliers such as Angra Mantis (CRIT DMG). Stage 4: long MVP projects such as Pharaoh or Orc Hero (RTNW Hub card guide).
- Weapon cards: keep swap sets by size, race and element and change them per target (GameTalk keeps two-card sets for Large and Medium plus element swaps like Vadon; Gameplay.tips lists Skeleton Worker, Minorous, Desert Wolf and race cards).
- Accessories usually take four copies of one damage card: Bongun for melee builds, Orc Archer for ranged (Gameplay.tips; OWIISHII; PJVC).
- Common costume-slot picks: Diligent Deniro (mouth, STR), Mirage: Orc Hero (head, DMG vs Medium), Illusion: Sealed Dracula or Mirage: Dracula (face, DMG vs Human) (PJVC; Gameplay.tips; OWIISHII).
- Free cards: the Card Deity quest chain has about 40 card quests gated from level 5 to 95 (rothenewworld.wiki).
Card slots and stats
- Every equipment piece has two card slots; one is unlocked with gold coins and the other with a Hammer of Blacksmith (King Spade).
- A card has one fixed stat and up to two random affixes (King Spade; RoworldDB card data).
- Card farming gauge (600-monster mode): green cards fill after 400 kills, blue after 910, purple after 10,000 (RTNW Hub).
Fusion, Reshape and Reforge
- Fusion combines a main card with a material card of the same equipment type to add the material's fixed stat. Rarity rule: purple main takes purple or blue, blue takes blue or green, green takes green. It costs Rare Spirit Pieces from the point shop (Arena Coins); the fixed-stat transfer chance is at least 30% (King Spade).
- Locking a stat guarantees it stays but costs about five times the materials and is not allowed across rarities (King Spade).
- Duplicate penalty: two copies of the same stat on one card give 75% of their combined value, three give 60% (King Spade; RoworldDB decay data). A player fused two 11% Vadon stats and ended with 8% + 8% (Ivo Play comment).
- Reshape rerolls only the numbers (Soul Dust, bought with Starstones); a crown marks a near-max value. Reforge replaces the random affixes using card dust from dismantling (King Spade).
- Order: Reforge first, then Fusion, then Reshape. Reforging a fused card reverts it to one fixed stat (King Spade).
