First-job Gunslinger levels fastest with a Pistol and Desperado, the class's point-blank AoE. Don't sink materials into early gear: spend points on the Desperado loop, reach Lv 40, and pick a firearm path as Rebel.

DEX is the damage and HIT stat; add AGI for attack speed but don't over-invest early since ASPD rises naturally after Rebel. A common baseline for ranged firearm builds is around 70 AGI / 70 DEX / 30 LUK.

Pistol only. Fires wildly at nearby enemies, dealing 2 hits of 350% AoE Neutral Ranged PDMG to up to 10 enemies. Uses 5 bullets.Pistol-only 2-hit AoE around you; the main farming skill at first job.
Chain ActionLv.10
Each Pistol Normal Attack has a 55% chance to perform a double attack, but only consumes 1 Bullet.Pistol basic attacks can double-hit; completes the early Pistol loop.
Platinum AltarLv.10
Gains a shield equal to 18% Max HP for 120 sec. While the shield exists, ATK +50.HP shield plus ATK bonus; the one first-job buff every Gunslinger build keeps.
CrackerLv.10
Fires a shot to scare the target, dealing 100% Ranged Neutral PDMG and inflicting Slow, reducing MSPD by 60% for 2 sec. When cast with a Pistol, has an additional 90% chance to inflict Stun for 1 sec. When cast with a Shotgun, has a 100% chance to inflict Stun for 2 sec.Slow (and stun chance) for peeling enemies that reach you; mostly a PvP tool.
Rotation
- Cast Platinum Altar for the shield and ATK bonus.
- Run into a pack and repeat Desperado; basic attacks with Chain Action fill the gaps.
- Use Cracker on anything that closes in when you need space.

Tips
- Save crafting materials until Lv 40+; early gear gets replaced quickly.
- Farm Hydra and Smokie cards while their monsters are near your level.
- Buy elemental bullets to match the target's element instead of relying on elemental cards.
- At Lv 40 decide: stay Pistol (farming/PvP) or switch to Gatling Gun (single-target PvE) as Rebel.
